Trey Songz Jokes About Kansas City Arrest

Trey Laughs at His Own Misfortune

The mantra of “laughter being the best medicine” has been what Trey Songz has been going by following his arrest at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

During the AFC Championship game, Trey was involved in an altercation with stadium security that led to his eventual arrest.

The footage was originally captured by TMZ on Sunday night and has since gone viral on the internet.  The video shows Trey punched an officer following up with a headlock after the officer rushed him.

More information has been released around the situation and reports now claim that Trey was confronted by the stadium police for not following COVID-19 protocols by not wearing a mask.  Trey released photos later that go against these reports on his Instagram

Trey was released from custody on Monday and immediately took to his Instagram to post pictures from the game.  The photo dump from Trey was captioned: “Cheifs game was lit right?”

The photo of Trey with stadium security makes the altercation between the two of them more ironic.  Songz posting that seems to make light of what happened despite the backlash from being arrested.

Following his arrest on Sunday, Trey was booked for misdemeanors of trespassing and resisting arrest, and a felony for assaulting a police officer.

If the other COVID violation of not wearing a mask is charged to Songz, it would be in line with his other social-distance violation he was under investigation for in Ohio following his 500 people concert.

At this time there have been no other announcements for a potential hearing for either incident that Trey was involved in.

Songz has been in headlines more recently for his troubles behind the music and has not released a project since Back Home in October 2020.
