It’s New Music Friday here at Dirty South Hip Hop. Here’s what you need to queue into.
It’s Friday, and that means we get a whole new trough of new music to consume until Tuesday comes around and we hunger for the next round.
This week we got a Megan Thee Stallion and Young Thug song straight out of an alien horror movie, the second installment of 21 Savage and Metro Boomin‘s Savage Mode series, a new album from Compton rapper YG (with a Lil Wayne feature to boot), a Roddy Ricch remix of an Internet Money x Gunna track, a new drill beat from Kenny Beats for Fivio Foreign and Polo G, and a whole slew of new songs.
Check them out below.
Megan Thee Stallion – “Don’t Stop” (feat. Young Thug)
The first new Meg song since the record breaking single “WAP“, “Don’t Stop” sounds like it arrived straight off a UFO. Megan Thee Stallion is reportedly releasing a new album this fall, and will feature as the first SNL musical guest of their 46th season this weekend. Young Thug also hops on the track, continuing his seemingly endless streak of features following Travis Scott’s Dem Franchise Boys emulating song titled “Franchise“.
21 Savage – “Mr. Right Now” (feat. Drake)
It has finally arrived. Following a petition and four years of waiting, Savage Mode 2, has finally dropped and features verses from Young Thug, Drake and Young Nudy. Unfortunately Future does not make an appearance to follow up 2016’s song of the summer, “X”.
Also Drake dated SZA in ’08?
Internet Money – “Lemonade (Remix)” (feat. Don Toliver & Roddy Ricch)
This was already a song, but now Roddy Ricch is on it instead of NAV. Cool.
Luckily a brand new Don Toliver album is imminent with production from Travis Scott DJ, Chase B, and features from Young Thug, Big Sean, Swae Lee, Sheck Wes and NAV and Wheezy
Bryson Tiller – “Outta Time” (feat. Drake)
It’s been almost four years since J. Cole stole the beat from that one Bryson Tiller song. Now Tiller is back with a Drake feature to back him up.
YG – “Blood Walk” (feat. Lil Wayne & D3szn)
Weezy follows up last weeks Tha Carter 5 additions with a verse on YG’s new song “Blood Walk”. Also there’s a whole new YG album, if that’s your thing.
Fivio Foreign – “Bop It” (feat. Polo G)
Kenny Beats produces another banger and Fivio Foreign and Polo G hang out with a mansion with a whole lot of women. Super Soakers and bubbles included.
Smoke DZA – “Survivor’s Remorse” (feat. Dom Kennedy, Jay 305 & Eric Bellinger)
lilbootycall – “On And On” (feat. Astus*)
If you dig Lil Tecca, Lil Mosey or other teenage rappers with Lyrical Lemonade videos, lilbootycall could be your next fave. He just released his second album titled “23”.
Check back every Friday for new music.
