Mulatto Celebrating for the Females
The women of Hip Hop have continued to show they are here and ready to take over the music scene. Cardi B and Meg Thee Stallion are celebrating their single “WAP” that recently topped the Hot 100 list and now Mulatto has joined the list.
Atlanta rapper, Mulatto entered the Billboard charts for the first time ever. Mulatto’s “Bitch From Tha Souf” landed the 95th position on the Hot 100 Charts. The track, produced by Bankroll Got It, was initially released in 2019. It followed with a remix that featured female rappers Trina and Saweetie.
On Tuesday, Alyssa “Mulatto” Stephens announced the news of her success via an Instagram post. “My first ever entry on @billboardcharts. Thank you GOD, my fans, and everyone a part of this record. I’m so grateful.”
Bankroll Got It congratulated Mulatto on Instagram and teased us with a caption stating “more on the way”. Trina also took to Instagram to thank Mulatto for giving her the opportunity to be on the chart-topping single. “I’m so thankful to be apart of this record,” she captioned on her Instagram post.
Mulatto, who is signed to RCA Records, was first introduced to the scene when she won the first season of Jermaine Dupri’s The Rap Game. Mulatto has been celebrating many successes in the weeks leading up to the release of her album Queen Of Da Souf.

On July 30, she released her single and video for Muwop featuring rapper Gucci Mane. The song is a flip of Gucci’s song Freaky Girl. She made a cameo appearance in the video for Cardi B and Meg Thee Stallion’s “WAP”. On the same day, she was featured on NLE Choppa’s single “Make Em Say” from his album Top Shotta Last week, Mulatto was announced as one of XXL’s 2020 Freshman Class.
