Michael B. Jordan Will Be Returning For “Creed’s” Third Movie

Michael B. Jordan is ready to get back into the ring after directors have officially announced his casting in the third “Creed” movie. Fans of Michael B. Jordan and his acting are anticipated for the third movie, especially since they already released the debut date for the movie.

Michael B. Jordan also starred in the first two films

Previously, Michael B. Jordan starred in the first two films in the “Rocky” spin-off franchise. The star will be returning back for his next rematch as a moviemaker!

Michael B. Jordan’s breakout moment (aka. his very first directorial debut) was spoiled by his onscreen co-star Tessa Thompson as a giveaway in a recent online interview. Most were not surprised by this announcement, since for several years Irwin Winkler, who is the producer of the original Rocky films and the Creed spinoffs, announced that Michael B. Jordan was going to be the director of the third film of the movie franchise.

“Directing has always been an aspiration, but the timing had to be right,” Michael B. Jordan said. “Creed III is that moment – a time in my life where I’ve grown more sure of who I am, holding agency in my own story, maturing personally, growing professionally, and learning from the Greats like Ryan Coogler, most recently Denzel Washington, and other top tier directors I respect. All of which sets the table for this moment.”

He continued, “This franchise and in particular, the themes of Creed III are deeply personal to me. I look forward to sharing the next chapter of Adonis Creed’s story with the awesome responsibility of being its director and namesake.”

MGM’s Film Group chairman and president Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy wrote a joint statement

They stated: “Michael’s vision for Creed III is incredibly exciting and will undoubtedly be an important contribution to the cannon of this storied franchise. We are thrilled to bring his directorial debut, and share this next chapter in the Creed story, to theaters next year.”

This will be Michael B. Jordan’s first time as a director for the “Rocky” franchise and the film is scheduled to debut at the end of 2022.
