Megan Thee Stallion is currently going through some homing difficulties, but luckily the National Association of Christian Churches (NACC) Disaster Services and U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee are willing to rebuild her Houston hometown. Megan Thee Stallion is raising funds to repair homes for senior citizens and single mothers for free, due to Texas’ recent freeze.
Megan has recruited emergency organization to fund recovery
Megan recruited the local nonprofit organization to help with the mission to offer emergency services to those recovering from national disasters, as well as the U.S. representative for Texas’ 18th congressional district. Another good thing about their mission is some of Meg’s A-list friends and brand partners are also supporting the cause as well.
Megan’s “Beautiful Mistakes” partner Maroon 5 and “Body” music video co-star Taraji P. Henson as well as her label 300 Entertainment and Fashion Nova, Mielle, Revlon, The Coach Foundation, and Dolce and Gabbana are all special donors. It will begin immediately and proceed over the next two years.
This is what she wrote about the issue
“Seeing the devastation and hearing the heartbreaking stories that have surfaced, I knew I had to do something to help my hometown. I am so happy that Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, the NACC, and I aligned on the goal of repairing the homes of the elderly and uninsured single moms who are the most vulnerable and often displaced by these kinds of devastating events,” Megan wrote in a heartfelt statement.
NACC will also be working with Congresswoman Lee for referrals on homes needing rebuilding through online submissions on the Helping Houston Rebuild an official website. Aid will be given to Houston residence based on how critical their living state is.
Civic adjusters will evaluate damages and other professionals will estimate plumbing, electricity, and structural repairs with walls, floors. Besides those, volunteers are expected to remove water-logged materials.
