Houston Hottie Meg Commemorates Another Year of Living with New Music

Rap superstar and Houston resident Megan Thee Stallion celebrate her 26th birthday today (February 15) and she is celebrating by dropping off a new music video titled “Southside Forever Freestyle”.

Megan Jovon Ruth Pete who is better known as Meg Thee Stallion was born February 15, 1995, in San Antonio, Texas.  Meg’s mother Holly Aleece Thomas, influenced her with music from an early age as the artist “Holly-Wood”.

Megan would go to studio sessions with Holly instead of daycare so she can be closer with her mother from a younger age.

Meg knew from her teenage years that she wanted to pursue a career in music however Holly told her that she would have to be 21 before she could do so.  She took on the name “Megan Thee Stallion” as an homage to her fully thick curvy physique.

As a student at Prarie View A&M University, Meg was seen on viral Instagram videos freestyling with other male rappers around 2013.

Meg would continue to post viral videos and use her social media platforms to springboard herself into early success as an artist.  After pushing on the internet through her social media, Meg dropped her first single in 2016 titled “Like a Stallion”

As Meg’s buzz began to rise with a series of mixtapes on Soundcloud, she was able to score a deal with 1501 Certified Entertainment ran by T. Farris in Houston by 2018.

From that time to the present Megan has been able to win over fans and convert them into “Hotties” with singles like “Big Ole’ Freak”, “Savage”, “Body”, and “WAP featuring Cardi B”.

Meg has been nominated for several awards and also won some as well for her musical abilities.  Some of her accolades include winning BET Awards and Billboard awards.

She is also a Grammy-nominated artist as well as one of the top 100 most influential people on TIME Magazine (2020) because of her style, music, and philanthropic moves.

Meg’s newest single “Southside Forever Freestyle” shows all the skills she has developed since she was first freestyling in her college years.

The Houston Hottie takes her claim at being one of the hottest artists in the game today with a style and cadence that is true to her influences like Three-Six Mafia and UGK.

Happy Birthday to Megan Thee Stallion!
