Lupe Fiasco and Royce da 5’9″ are the latest celebrities to join the podcast game. The first episode of The Lupe And Royce Show airs this Thursday, October 8. The show will be the first to come from the Say What Media Podcast Network and will cover music, family and more.
“SURPRISE!!!,” said Lupe on Insta. “Me & @royceda59 decided to do a podcast 2 gether like 2 real geniuses.”
“Oh it’s real,” Royce chimed in. “Me and @lupefiasco are doing a thing.”

The podcast also features marketing executive Thomas Frank. It will be available via Spotify and Apple Music.
Lupe Fiasco releases 2-song bundle, “Tape Tape.”
The announcement of the new podcast comes fresh off new music from Lupe. Last Friday (Oct. 2), he released a two song tape titled “Tape Tape.” The project is a collaboration with Chicago producer Soundtrakk.
These are not the first time the two have linked up. Together they have created some of Lupe’s biggest hits including “Kick, Push,” “Sunshine,” “Paris, Tokyo,” “Superstar,” “WAV Files,” and more.
In July the pair also released a BBQ chicken thigh themed freestyle to Instagram.
Lupe has also been in the news recently for his hot take that he is a better lyricist than Kendrick Lamar. In a since deleted tweet he said:
In my own words…once again for you bitches…I love me some KDot…always have always will. With that said do think I he’s a good lyricist? Yes. Do I think he’s the best lyricist? No. Do I think it’s lyricists that are better than him? Yes. Is he a better artist than me? Yes.
