Trevor Wilkinson was recently suspended for expressing himself and rapper Lil Yachty jumped to the young student’s side to defend him.

The 17-year-old attends Clyde Highschool in Texas and was unfortunately suspended for a harmless action which was painting his nails. When Yachty was approached, he was asked about his opinion on the situation. He talked about how there is no need for barriers especially in 2020.

“Why do we still have barriers?” He continued, “If somebody wants to express themselves and it’s not harming anyone or bringing anybody down they should be allowed to do so. I don’t really see the purpose,” the rapper says.

“I do want to reach out to Trevor Wilkinson just for the simple fact of him being himself. You shouldn’t be punished or tormented for being you.”

“It’s essentially unisex, but I want it to be more focused on men to use it and be comfortable. Bruh, it’s 2020. It’s ’bout to be 2021. What are the barriers?”
