Lil Wayne strikes deal pleads guilty to a weapons charge
Hip-Hop legend Lil Wayne, born Dwayne Carter Jr., has found himself in legal hot water, as he has pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a loaded weapon. We reported to you that New Orleans rapper was facing federal charges back in November. This week it is reported that that the Trump-supporting rapper entered into a plea agreement.
The original incident took place back in 2019, yet Wayne found himself in a Miami, Florida court on a virtual hearing this past Friday discussing the case with a judge.
The original report of what was found on his private jet in Miami on Dec. 23rd, 2019, was very startling to the public. Authorities received an anonymous tip. Upon arrival, Weezy told officers he had a gun in his bag. When officers searched the bag they found a gold-plated Remington 1911, .45-caliber handgun loaded with six rounds of ammunition. He told investigators the handgun was a Father’s Day gift, according to a search warrant, the Associated Press reported.
Officers also searched the aircraft found was ecstasy, heroin, cocaine, cough syrup, marijuana, pain killers, $26,000 in cash, and a firearm with ammunition. Wayne was not charged with any drug offenses.
