Lil Wayne and his girlfriend, Denise Bidot, split over political differences.
This election season has not been kind to Lil Wayne and his girlfriend, Denise Bidot
The couple, who have been publicly together since June, reportedly split this week over Wayne’s newfound support for Donald Trump. While early reports claimed that Bidot dumped Wayne over his politics, it seems the opposite is true.
According to text messages acquired from Bidot’s friends, she encouraged her Instagram followers to vote with the hashtag “#notrumpforme,” followed by a photo of Wayne with the caption “Let me be clear, this is my king I love him.”
That was too much for Wayne, who apparently unfollowed her and kicked her out of his house. She unfollowed him the next day, shared a post saying “sometimes love just isn’t enough,” and then deleted her Instagram account.
Lil Wayne went all in for Trump last week, meeting with the president and posting his support to social media.
“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus. besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”
