Lil Durk has grown a lot through 2020 and we believe 2021 has more in store for him and his career. The Chicago native also has beliefs of his own, where he feels he should get the same payout as one of the hip-hop game’s elites.
On Tuesday, Durk took to Twitter claiming he’s upped his booking prices to $200,000 a show. He tweeted, “I need 200k a show now smirk top 3 out here.” Shortly after the tweet, he released his “Coming Clean” video.
What a transformative 2020 for Lil Durk
Durk has been featured in the range from Drake’s “Laugh Now, Cry Later” and Polo G’s “3 Headed Goat” with Lil Baby. The Chicago native also made an appearance on Nas’ Grammy-nominated album King’s Disease. Besides being featured on other rapper’s songs, Lil Durk also dropped “The Voice” and “Just Cause Y’all Waited for 2”, as well as its deluxe version.
Even though he has experienced much success already, we can’t forget the hardships and controversies Lil Durk has faced as well.
Back in November, he lost one of his close friends when King Von was murdered in Atlanta. He’s also still currently beefing with FBG Duck.
FBG Duck allegedly dissed Durk even though FBG Duck was killed in Chicago in August. Besides his beef with FBG Duck, he’s also found himself in a mixed motion with colorful rapper 6ix9ine.
6ix9ine apparently created rumors about the Chicago rapper exploiting King Von’s murder to sell his new mixtape The Voice earlier this week, the controversial rainbow rapper went into Akademiks’ Instagram comments on Tuesday to slam Durk (again) for his alleged low album sales. He also mocked Durk’s late cousin Nuski into the joke as well as Von.
The post read, “Lil Durk sells 23K first week,” to which 6ix9ine replied, “Nuski and Von died for this???? @lil durk.”
Many fans believe this is a way for 6ix9ine to find his way back at the top after severely failing to sell an acceptable amount of the Tattetales album.
