King Combs drops “Legacy” to pay tribute to his Mom
Musician and son of Diddy, King Combs pays a heartfelt tribute to Kim Porter his late mother.
The artist released “Legacy” dedicated to Kim Porter, who had unfortunately passed away at the young age of 47 due to Lobar Pneumonia in November 2018. The track talks about the family’s painful death, and how he plans to form his legacy while continuing the Bad Boy’s Legacy.
His bars consist of him rapping about how his father raised him, and how his mother was a big part of his life, and how he will always love her.
“I lost my moms last year, took the biggest L,” he says. “Know her spirit got me evolving … Separating my path with a different trail, I pervail/Anything just to see my favorite lady/Built for everything, that’s how my pops raised me,” King continues to rap.
He also raps about how his life is going on personally and about how he strives to be his best. Failure is NEVER an option. He feels like it is very important to continue and grow his legacy.
“I see my future as a multifaceted entrepreneur in music, fashion, and hopefully acting,” he explained.
The visual that was released on Friday, October 16, also mentions the racial inequalities that are going on today. He mentions the Black Lives Matter movement (BLM), and also references the protest Colin Kaepernick helped spread called #Takeaknee.
