Great Artists Featured on Playlist From Biden and Harris
President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris have just released their official playlist from the Inaugural Committee.
Joe and Kamala composed a list of 46 songs that are diverse and not only represent the interests of not only the President and Vice President but the American people as well.
The playlist features a wide range of artists from Stevie Wonder and the OJays to Kendrick Lamar and MF DOOM.
While it is not likely that either Joe or Kamala listen to the likes of MF DOOM, the song selection communicates the contrast between the new Administration and the Trump Administration that is leaving office.
Harris and Biden Look to Inspire Change
Inaugural Committee CEO Tony Allen gave insight into the process and significance of the playlist from the new Administration:
“During a tumultuous year that has kept so many loved ones apart, music has been a consistent vehicle that has kept us connected,”
“Whether you are a country soul, a jazz enthusiast, a hip-hop head, a classical sort, or just love that old-time rock ‘n’ roll, music clarifies, inspires, unites, and heals,”
“These songs and artists reflect the relentless spirit and rich diversity of America. They are the score to a new chapter and will help bring people together as the Biden-Harris Administration begins its important work to unite our country.”
The Inauguration special Celebrating America, will air on January 20 and will serve as an official start for the Biden-Harris Administration. The 90 minute special will air on several networks including MSNBC, ABC, and CBS.
Other notable artists featured in Joe and Kamala’s playlist include Beyonce, Burna Boy, SZA, N.E.R.D, A Tribe Called Quest, Mary J. Blige, Salt n Peppa, and Mac Miller. The Biden + Harris Inauguration 2021 Playlist is now available for streaming on Spotify.
