J. Cole Fans Still Waiting For “The Fall Off” To Drop

TM88 Clears Rumors on The Fall Off.

Earlier this week, Fayetteville native J. Cole was rumored to have his new album The Fall Off on the way. However, when the scheduled day of Tuesday came and went, J. Cole’s sixth album that fans have waited for this year did not drop on DSPs.

Later this week Cole is slated to drop a new sneaker with Puma. When Cole first tweeted about the collab for the shoes, fans showed a high level of disapproval and disappointment that it was not an announcement for The Fall Off.

The lack of an album is upsetting to fans because Cole claimed he would drop the album in 2020 and we are three weeks away from year’s end.  Producer TM88 added flames to the fire when fans mistook a tweet he posted as another promise of The Fall Off.

The tweet sent people in to a speculative tizzy as people wanted to believe that Cole’s sixth album was indeed on the way. Shortly after the tweet went viral, TM88 clarified his statements saying that he was not referring to The Fall Off.

Even in denying the intention of his words, TM88 was faced with a barrage of tweets from fans trying to “read between the lines.” Despite the pressure the Atlanta producer doubled down on his stance he was speaking about something else.

Although fans have not been given a new album from J.Cole since 2018’s KOD, his critically acclaimed 2014 Forest Hill Drive celebrated its six year anniversary earlier this week. The Dreamville Twitter account posted a tweet highlighting the milestone along with a special gem for long time fans.

An unreleased video for one of Cole’s biggest hits “Fire Squad” was released to commemorate Cole’s third album that many consider his best.  Although many will appreciate the homage, based on the tweets towards TM88 people are anxious for The Fall Off.
