This past Sunday Drake posted a picture to his Instagram story with the simple caption: “80%”. This, we can safely assume, is in reference to his upcoming untitled project. Drake previously told fans that the new project would drop in the summer of 2020. So far, there have been a few snippet leaks of potential project tracks. Drake has also showcased a few snippets on his Instagram live sessions.

In May, Drake dropped the Dark Lane Demo Tapes mixtape. This was an exciting surprise for all his fans and a nice holdover until the new album, which will be significantly shorter than his Scorpion album from 2018. In a February interview, Drake stated “with the last album, I went high volume. I did two sides, 20-something songs, which is a lot of songs. This album, I’ll probably make it a more realistic offering, something more concise”. He says this inspiration came from Notorious B.I.G.’s Life After Death album.
In addition to Drake’s own new album, DJ Khaled has confirmed that his next song will feature Drake. He stated, “Drake is definitely on DJ Khaled’s single, for sure – and the vocals sound so incredible,” to N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN. Also, in the works is What a Time to Be Alive 2 with Future.
