Drake continues to top the charts with Number 1 hits!
Drake is known for many of his popular busta move melodies from songs such as “In My Feelings”, “Passionfruit”, and “Nice For What.” He continues to inspire many other rappers and fans of his music, and probably is one of today’s most influential artists. Drake just made history after Billboard announced the Certified Lover Boy has passed Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin for the Most Number 1 hits on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart.
The special hit that gave Drake this huge achievement, ranking higher than two of R&B’s biggest icons was his “Laugh Now Cry Later” collaboration with Lil Durk. It is the record-breaking 21st chart leader for Drake and placed number 1 on the chart.
Twelve of Drake’s No. 1 hits include “God’s Plan,” “In My Feelings,” “Hotline Bling,” “Hold On, We’re Going Home” and “Best I Ever Had,” which was his first major hit released back in 2009. Nine of his No. 1 hits are songs he featured on, including “Work” with Rihanna, “Moment 4 Life” with Nicki Minaj, “Fall for Your Type” with Jamie Foxx, and “I Invented Sex” with Trey Songz.
Drake also made Billboard chart history when he set a new record for most songs on the Hot 100 chart Billboard’s main songs chart that includes all music genres.
At the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, Drake broke Taylor Swift’s record for most wins. He won 12 awards at the show in Las Vegas, making his career a total of 27, while Taylor Swift won 23.
The single had a delay in performance but was still enough to force its way to the top spot on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, which dated November 7. The single replaced “WAP” by Cardi b and Megan Thee Stallion, which remained at the top of the chart for 10 weeks straight.
“Laugh Now Cry Later” is the last single release DSHH has heard from Drake, even though this is true Drake has recently revealed that he will be debuting his new album in January 2021.
