Dr. Dre is currently receiving medical treatment Tuesday night after suffering from a brain aneurysm Monday. Sources tell TMZ, on yesterday, the Compton rapper was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and remains in hospital care.
Dr. Dre is reportedly in stable condition but doctors are unable to determine what caused the bleeding. Doctors are assessing the 55-year-old rap icon and businessman to try to pinpoint the root of the issue.
Health issues arise amid divorce
Before Dr. Dre’s health scare, the rapper and his estranged wife were in the middle of a nasty split. Wife Nicole Young feels she’s entitled to spousal support if the couple splits. In legal documents, Young requested $2 million a month in temporary spousal support. Below is a list of Young’s monthly expenses
-Laundry and cleaning: $10,000/month
-Clothes: $135,000/month
-Education (tuition and living expenses): $60,000/month
-Entertainment: $900,000/month
-Charitable contributions: $125,000/month
-Mortgage: $100,000/month
-Telephone, cell phone, e-mail: $20,000/month
Legal documentation compute Young’s monthly expenses to total $2,530,000 a month. Court documents also include details of claims of domestic violence. Dre denounced any claims of abuse and responded, “She was not and is not afraid of me and her allegations to the contrary are pure fabrication created post-divorce filing. Her recent assertions of fear or abuse and having been coerced or controlled by me are not supported by any evidence other than her say-so and are not credible to anyone who has ever encountered my wife or seen us together.”
Amid the tumultuous split, Dre accused Young of embezzled a total of $385,029 from one of Dr. Dre’s companies. When asked about the allegations, Young pleaded the 5th.
Dre feels Young’s requests are over-the-top and believes his soon-to-be ex-wife should scale down on her lavish lifestyle. While Dre attests that his money tree isn’t fruitful enough to support her monthly expenditures, Young revealed the “Forgot About Dre” rapper has the funds to support her.
Young’s CPA attests Dre has $262 million available and Apple stock. According to TMZ, the accountant “says selling Apple stock was the primary source of funding their lifestyle from 2017-19.” Furthermore, Young’s accountant says ‘marital living expenses’ totaled out to be $2.3 million per month.
Below is the last photo Dre posted to his Instagram page, dating back one week.
