DaniLeigh Bringing New Energy To Hip Hop
Danielle Leigh Curiel, better known as DaniLeigh, is a vibe. Unlike any current hip-hop artist, this Dominican Mami is making headway. DaniLeigh recently performed on MaddCity.Live. Her performance entailed her dancing skill and performing songs off of her album titled “My Present” and “The Plan”, among other EP’s.
Each of her songs come with production that brings out specific energy to the hip-hop culture. Studio sessions that automatically get your head bobbing. Lyrics like “Show him what I‘ma do with it, Infinity pool with it,” which comes from the song “No Caller ID,” one can’t help, but to vibe out to her smooth and sexy flow.
DaniLeigh is also a songwriter, dancer, and choreographer. She has worked with artists such as Chris Brown, YG, Lil Baby, and DaBaby, just to name a few. Dani was mentored by the one and only Prince, as a result of hard work and diligence. DaniLeigh worked with Prince on his music video for the song “Breakfast Can Wait.”
She’s Not New To Hip Hop
Dani started dancing when she was twelve and made a temporary move to LA when she was sixteen with her mother, father, sister, and brother. The move became permanent, because of her growing success in the hip-hop culture, and by the time she was eighteen Prince reached out to her to direct a video. She speaks with a smile and humble candor each time she speaks about how she gained her following in the hip-hop culture, with her vocals and choreography. And how she eventually gets recognized and signed with Def Jam.
DaniLeigh is pouring a new cup of coffee for female hip hop artists, and in today’s hip-hop culture, it is refreshing. Her music/style has a seat at the table of multiple generations. Her hit with Chris Brown “Easy” placed in the US Billboard Hot 100. With her smooth groove, hip-hop style Dani gives the culture something to look forward to for years to come.
