Cardi B Trademarking “WAP”
Better start saving soon if you want to buy all of Cardi B’s WAP merch.
Last week it was official, Cardi B filed for paperwork for the rights of the trademark of WAP. This includes things like basic apparel (purses, jewelry, footwear, clothing, etc.) to any type of beverages including beer, soft drinks, water, and more. Not only did she file for apparel and beverages but for stickers and posters as well.
Cardi B’s Existing Merch
This happened shortly after Cardi and Megan released their apparel. She released things like trend-setting hoodies, biker shorts, sports bras, sweatpants, T-Shirts, sweatshirts, and ironically raincoats and umbrellas.
Some of the prices include the raincoat priced at $125 with 3 different colorways; white, purple, and the color black. The raincoat has “WAP” written out on the front of it and an 18+ warning that is on either the left or right arm. The umbrella also costs $25 and is currently available in 2 different colors, black, and purple.
This was probably the smartest decision Cardi could have made. The song blew up in only a number of days, and many are still talking about it ever since its release last month with over 224million views on Youtube.
Even though it is still in the process of making the trademark official, you are still able to purchase some of the merch on her already existing WAP website.
It was also newly announced that Cardi will be having an upcoming collab with K-Pop girl band, “Black Pink.”
