Cardi Filing For Divorce
After a long 3 years of marriage, Cardi B has made the decision it was part ways with husband Offset. According to documents Fox News possesses, Cardi B made it official today that she is filing for divorce from the Migos rapper. The documents list Cardi (Belcalis Almánzar) as the plaintiff and Offset (Kiari Cephus) as the defendant. The filing for divorce came shortly after her and Megan’s hit “WAP.”
The rapper shared a message through Instagram on her story. The story states “her heart finally told her to stop wasting her time.” She titled the caption “It’s Time.” also adding a winking emoji.
What does Cardi want in the divorce?
In addition to the divorce, the rapper also wants custody of their 2 year old daughter, Kulture. Cardi is also seeking to receive child support from Offset. According to TMZ, Cardi’s documents state she also wants Offset to pay her legal expenses. Assuming there is no prenuptial agreement, she also asks for a equitable division in all marital assets.
Cardi and Offset got married in 2017 when Offset originally proposed to her in a bedroom and publically popped the question at a concert. The marriage was doing well but then bumped into some issues with cheating allegations a few years ago. They however overcame this issue, as Offset begged for her forgiveness.
