Houston rapper and activist Bun B has called attention to a racist post on social media that was allegedly made by a former police officer and now the Houston Police Department has begun an investigation.
The former Houston officer posted a picture on Facebook comparing blacks to monkeys. Bun B jumped on TMZ Live on Tuesday and said he’s been told by the Houston Police Department that they’re “expeditiously dealing with the two cops who commented on an image posted by an ex-officer”. It has not been confirmed if the officer joined another department, was fired or resigned from his position.

“Ok Officers Tee Truong, Vuong Vu, and David Nguyen…you think it’s funny comparing black people to monkeys?” We know you work in Houston at the Westside Command Station. Let’s see what your commanders think about this,”
Bun B has been very vocal through the coronavirus pandemic and the protests and demonstrations over the police killing of George Floyd. He says it’s no coincidence the current occupant in the White House has essentially “given them the green light” to expose themselves as racist. He believes this is a wakeup call and has started the tough dialogue for systematic racism.
