Joe Biden 46th US President
This is a good day for most of the US because Joe Biden is our 46th president of the United States, and we got ourselves a black female VP. After 3 days of states alternating between red and blue, it is now official.
Even though the US had a few difficulties with counting the votes, Biden managed to exceed 270 electoral votes and came out with currently 290.
Biden won some of the few switching states such as Nevada, Pennsylvania, and almost Georgia. Though many see this as amazing news, there are still Trump supporters denying Trump’s loss and are filled with rage. Overall there are many mixed emotions in America.
Despite, some of the negative emotions many cities are having an absolute celebration in the streets. Places such as Washington, Atlanta, and Chicago are elated and are making plenty of joyful noise. Many believe that this is a healing time in America, that we all desperately needed.
“With the campaign over, it’s time to put the anger and the harsh rhetoric behind us and come together as a nation,” Our new president said. “There’s nothing we can’t do if we do it together.”
Trump is in denial, denying his loss and steady blaming it on fraud and illegal voting, with tweeting: “I WON THIS ELECTION, BY A LOT!”
First Black Female VP
This isn’t the only good news, the US officially got their first Black Vice President. Educated Kamala Harris will now be sitting beside Joe Biden.
During the trials of the Campaign, she would speak mainly about the struggle in the US as an immigrant. She had also known about racial inequality and how it needs to be changed, even if it takes a while.
The US came a long long way, and Miss. Harris helped the country reach a huge moment in history. Not only is she the first woman to be Vice President, but she is also the first woman of color to be in that role. She is a huge inspiration to women snd young girls for changing the stigma and help to move towards a more diverse America.
