Remembering Comedian Tyler Craig
Tyler Craig began his career at Club 550 in Atlanta. He made his comedy debut with appearances on BET’s Comic View. Craig followed Comic View with appearances starting in 1997 on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, Jamie Foxx’s Laffapalooza!, and Martin Lawrence’s 1st Amendment Stand Up. He was also known for opening up for legendary comedians Chris Tucker and Cedric The Entertainer.
Craig coined the phrase “And the moral of the story is….” during an audition at a comedy club. “One of my jokes at the end, I said, ‘And the moral of the story is be yourself’, and that’s where it started. Cause I feel like you have to learn something after each trial and tribulation you go through. So you’re really not losing, you’re learning how to win.”
