2020 BET Music Award Winners

The BET awards which honor Black excellence in entertainment hosted the 20th-anniversary award show Sunday night and along with some fantastic tributes and performances presented this year’s winners. 



Roddy Ricch won album of the year for “Please excuse me for being antisocial” along with Best New Artist. Lizzo won Best female R&B/ Pop Artist, and Chris Brown won Best Male in the same category. Chris Brown also won Best collaboration with Drake for “No Guidance.”


 Migos won for Best Group. DaBaby won Best Male Hip Hop Artist, and Megan Thee Stallion won the same award in the women’s category along with the views choice award with Nicki Minaj for “Hot Girl Summer.” VIdeo of the year was taken home by DJ Khalid for “Higher” Featuring John Legend and the late Nipsey Hussle. Finally, Teyana “Spike Tee” Taylor was awarded the best video director of the year.
