Feed Your City Challenge
A current challenge is going on right now called the “Feed Your City Challenge Tour.” This ongoing tour gives out groceries and resources and it’s currently in Atlanta as their 8th stop so far! This is a great challenge especially due to the fact a worldwide pandemic is going on and some families need all the help they could possibly get. The challenge was originally started by the retired NBA player Ricky Davis and Tony Draper, a music executive.
About The Challenge
Rapper 2 Chainz is engaging with this great tour, which comes to very little to no surprise because of how close his hometown is to Atlanta. So many received groceries for them and their families, it was absolutely amazing that about 4500 people came to the event.
“There’s a lot of stuff going on in the world, but it’s important for people like myself who have a platform to be on ground zero giving back,” the rapper previously known as Tity Boi states. “It’s a hard time for the whole world, not just the city of Atlanta. But I’m just using my platform to lead by example.”
“It’s very important that each person is counted so we can get the right funds in the community. It’s another thing I’m trying to get people out here to understand as well,” Rapper 2 Chainz states.
The tour is so successful and is helping so many families and people everywhere. Adding onto the groceries they had received, they also got an amazing opportunity to learn about the census, and also got the chance to fill out voter’s registration.
Many other artists from the area also contributed to the challenge. Artists such as Quality Control Music Group and 6lack. Jhene Aiko’s Social Justice Collective had also contributed and made a generous donation of resources for the challenge.
